Ukraine Stops Woman from Assassinating Zelenskyy

The Ukrainian Security Service (SBU) reported on Monday that a woman has been arrested due to involvement in a plan to assassinate Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the president of Ukraine who has been widely praised for his incredible leadership during the Russo-Ukrainian War.

The woman had been trying to uncover confidential information, such as his itinerary, pertaining to his visit to Mykolaiv last week that would allow the Russian military to execute an airstrike that would, if it went smoothly, assassinate Zelenskyy.

It's reported that the woman resided in Ochakiv, where she worked at a store located on a military base. Along with finding out confidential information surrounding his visit to Mykolaiv, the woman also took photographs and video footage of ammunition warehouses and warfare systems located near the Ochakiv area.

In the event that the suspect is found guilty of her charge, of which is the unauthorized dissemination of information pertaining to the military, she is expected to face a maximum of up to 12 years in prison.
